Hi claire

I was reviewing quilt art mailing list and came across your blog! It's a small world. Love the photo of the plant leaf. I don't care what Michael says, nature is fascinating to interpret in any media.

=) i couldnt agree more!! one of these days i'd love to make a fountain with this shape.... these plants can really be a pain; not only do they grow like weed but the leaves just disintegrate into piles of dust in the winter time which kicks my allergies up big time. yet they are so lush and seductive i can't bear to get rid of all of them.......

Love your leaf picture. I keep meaning to take a pic of the leaf of our dry land taro plant - the veins in it just cry out for fabric interpretation and quilting! I just got a new camera last weekend, so will take some this weekend maybe.
