a little rusty
thanks to all of y'all for the words of support...it does help!
i have been busy doing everything but making art for the most part...with the exception of rusting some fabric. while cleaning up, i came across some *new* rusty things and set to work rusting and re-rusting fabrics. between the new rust and the rainy, humid weather i got some good results.
have recycled some of the old deteriorating rusty items back into the ground where they will
enhance the landscape while continuing to decompose. ashes to ashes, rust to rust??

I'm loving this rust thing but it's a bit "one note" for me. Have you ever dyed or dyepainted fabric after the rusting, perhaps with some form of resist to preserve the rust marks?
Claire! I missed your last post and just want to add my heartfelt concern for you and good thoughts for moving on. The studio is a good place to be!
I have never gotten in to the rusting thing. May have to try it.
Glad to see you posting again, Claire. Keep up the contact! I am off in the morning for a road trip to Ohio for the SAQA conference, but I'll do a travel blog and let you know the URL. Good thoughts. Del
Claire, you are the Rust Queen! Keep your chin up ... which may be redundant advice, since that seems to be exactly what you are doing!
You've been TAGGED! Go to my blog for "the rules".
